Marketing Director (Midwest)
Our client is a profitable, rapidly-growing market leader in the wood window and patio door industry. This position reports to the division President, will manage a staff of six and lead a total of 23 employees.  The Marketing Director is charged with definition and leadership of all aspects of the brand as represented to consumers.  He/She will manage directly and through reporting managers both corporate and field staff, including field marketers for affiliate and company-owned locations; the visual merchandising which defines its retail presentation, direct marketing, and the coordination of the market research, vendor interaction and client interaction function.   The ideal candidate will be a seasoned metrics-driven marketing professional with at least fifteen years of experience and a track record of success in a results-oriented corporate leadership marketing position. Vice President, Sales and Marketing (recently completed)

This well-established privately held company has created a successful portfolio of patent-protected, branded products for the pool and spa market.  The company has developed superior water purification equipment and products with a focus on eco-friendly water treatment methods.  The company’s plans for future growth will leverage its tradition of innovative, patented product designs complemented by the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction.  The Vice President, Sales and Marketing will report to the COO of the company and be a critical member of the senior team.  This position will manage an in-house team of eight, including four direct reports: three Sales Managers and a Marketing Manager and will also have ultimate responsibility for a significant outside sales organization.  Travel requirements will on average be up to 50%, with higher levels anticipated during peak periods.

The ideal candidate will be a bright, highly strategic sales and marketing leader with a track record of success in both large and small/entrepreneurial company environments.  He/she will have a background in consumer products, and, ideally, bring some technical affinity along with knowledge of the OEM sales process.

Marketing Manager (recently completed)

Our client is an established manufacturer of durable goods based in a major metropolitan area.  Our client has identified a market need, scoped the opportunity size, evaluated the competitive landscape and developed a product with a unique value proposition.  The Marketing Manager will play a key role in pioneering this new business.  He/She will lead the development and execution of strategies and plans to create consumer-driven retail sales pull demand.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of eight years of consumer brand marketing experience.  Knowledge of market research tools and techniques is required.  Well-developed planning and project management skills, excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and the proven ability to achieve results are all important requirements for this position.  An undergraduate degree in marketing or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred.  Travel is estimated at 40 percent.
